It's All About The Light (Sometimes)

I almost fell out of my car as I was about to head home after a recent job and spotted this light hitting the side of the Tony Ireland Stadium at Riverway. Combined dark stormy clouds in the distance - well who could resist. Fortunately with my DSLR and 17mmm Tilt Shift I can shoot architecture in this situation very quickly - hand held and on the run so to speak. Sadly this sort of light is somewhat of a rarity up here in the tropics and it was all over within a few minutes. The Tony Ireland Stadium was built to host AFL games in Townsville and was designed by Cox Rayner Architects.
